Greetings sports fanatics! Today the Southside Railers hosted the Quakertown Blazers in a ECCBL 1st round matchup. It was an editing game as it was tied at 2 entering the top of the 9th. With runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 out, Mason Woolwine from Elizabethtown hit a sacrifice bunt to advance the runners. However, the pitcher airmailed the throw to first base that allowed the go ahead run to score! The Railers had a chance to win the bottom of the 9th by loading the bases with one out. Unlike the Blazers, the Railers couldn't capitalize on the opportunity as Malachi Duka from Lebanon Valley recorded the final two outs to secure the 3-2 upset victory! Both players were excited to play in tomorrow's semifinal game against the Trenton Capitals!
