Burgess’s first career HR helps Pburg advance

Greetings sports fanatics! Today the Phillipsburg Stateliners hosted the Piscastaway Chiefs in a NJ first round matchup. It was a tight game heading into the bottom of the 4th inning. After a RBI single by Nick Yaccarino that gave the Liners the lead Kevin Burgess hit his 1st career HR to increase the advantage to 3. That would be the nail in the coffin for the Chiefs, as the Liners advanced with a 12-5 desicion! Burgess stated the win gave the team their confidence back after dropping the previous 3 games!
