Greetings sports fanatics! Today I covered a battle of the undefeated Emmaus Hornets and the Easton Red Rovers! Emmaus jumped out in front by scoring 3 runs in the top of the 1st off Easton starter Jacob Hirmer. The Red Rovers loaded the bases in the bottom half and looked prime to tie or take the lead. However, the Hornets starter Luke Deschences struck out the next two batters and introduced the sixth batter to pop out to end the threat. That would be the closest the Red Rovers would threaten the lead. the Hornets added an insurance run in the top of the 7th and held on for a 4-0 victory! Deschences finished with 6.2 innings, allowing only 3 hits and striking out 14! My interview with Luke is on my Instragram page.
