Emmaus Freedom

Greetings sports fanatics! Today was a District 11 playoff game between the Emmaus Green Hornets and the Freedom Patriots. Emmaus nearly took a huge hit in the first few seconds when star junior Will Barber collided with the south side wall and had to be removed. The injury threw off Emmaus offense, as they led 12-11 after the 1st quarter. Near the end of the 1st half, Barber recovered from the early injury to score 5 of the Green Hornets last 8 points to lead Emmaus into the half with a 37-28 lead. Barber wasn't the only star of the game, as Senior Chase Muckey had a stretch in the 3rd quarter where he scored 10 straight points as the Green Hornets led 61-45 after 3 quarters. Freedom would outscore a Emmaus in the 4th 21-16, but it was too little too late for the Pats as the final score favored the Green Hornets 77-66! Both Barber and Muckey stated after the game that it felt good to lead the Green Hornets back into states!
