Greetings sports fanatics! Today the Freedom Patriots hosted the Emmaus Green Hornets in a District 11 quarterfinal matchup. The Patriots struck first when Chase Walker hit Justin Peluso for a 14 yard pass in the first quarter. The Green Hornets kicked two field goals in the second quarter to make the score 7-6 Freedom at half. In the 3rd, Emmaus took their first lead of the game thanks to a 10 yard run by Josiah Williams. The Patriots answered back on the next possession when Aaron Beete punched it in from 3 yards out to give the Patriots a 14-13 advantage. The Green Hornets answered with 6 mintues left in the game when Williams hit Jerek Cooper from 19 yards out. Freedon had one last shot, but Jah'khi Daves made a one handed interception to seal the Green Hornets 19-13 victory! Both players stated it was a huge victory for the program!
