Freedom Emmaus

Greetings sports fanatics! Today the Freedom Patriots played host to the Emmaus Green Hornets. The Patriots got the scoring started in the bottom of the 1st when Kevin Kullman hit an RBI single to make it 1-0. The Hornets erupted for 5 runs in the top of the 2nd thanks to a Freedom error that scored two runs, a RBI single by Noah Hogan and a 2 RBI double by Zach McEllroy. Freedom would put pressure on Emmaus in the bottom of the 3rd when the Patriots first 3 batters recorded a hit off Cole Moreau, the last one scoring a run to make it 5-2. After a mound meeting, Moreau recovered to get the next 3 batters out and end the threat. The Green Hornets would add an insurance run in the top of the 4th, the Emmaus held on for a 6-2 victory! Moreau, who earned the win by going 4.2 innings and striking out 9 batters, stated his teammates gave him confidence after a slow start.
