Gold teams all stars victory

Greetings sports fanatics! Today was the 52nd annual Lehigh Valley all star football classic at Nazareth High School. The Gold team struck first in the 1st quarter when Bangor's Eric Striba found Becca s Will Aviles for a 30 yard pass on 4th down for a quick 6-0 lead. The Gold team extended their lead to 13-0 in the 2nd courtesy for a 1 yard run by Saucon Valley's Travis Reifenstahl. The Red team cut the deficit to 6 with a 92 yard strike from Northwestern Lehigh's Cage Christopher to Emmaus's Elijah Fajardo. Another Striba-Aviles connection and successful two point try brought the Gold team's lead to 14 in the 3rd. Christopher would hit Dieruff's Noah Ozario for 26 yards to cut the deficit down to 7 in the 4th. After a successful onside recovery, Christopher scored on a keeper with 3:58 remaining in the game. Electing to go for two, the Red team was stopped short, with Pburgs Kassym Domond leading the charge. The stop proved to be the difference as the Gold team held on 21-20! Domond, who also had TFLs for loss on the first two plays, dedicated the game to his mother after the game.
