Greetings sports fanatics! Today Phillipsburg High School hosted the HWS final between the Stateliners and the North Hunterdon Lions. Down 3-2 and on their last out, NH scored on a wild pitch to send the final into extras. Both teams would be help scoreless in the first 3 extra innings. In the top of the 11th, Jacob Kisselbach drove in two runs with a single to give the Liners a 5-3 lead. Tyler Anderson would match Kisselbach's hit with a 2 RBI single of his own to tie the game in the bottom of the 11th. With two one, Nick Hernandez blasted a pitch over the left field fence to give the Lions the tittle by a final of 8-5!! Hernandez , who was named the MVP with his walkoff blast, stated " It was definitely the top moment of my high school career!"
