Lafayette gets back on track

Greetings sports fanatics! Today the Lafayette Leopards played host to the Fordham Rams. After a scoreless 1st quarter, the Rams got on the board with a field goal. The Leopards answered on the following drive when Dean DeNobile hit Elijah Stewart for a 6-yard pass to give Lafayette a 7-3 lead at halftime. The Leopards scored 10 points in the 3rd on a field goal and 1 yard sneak by DeNobile to extend their advantage to 17-3 entering the 4th quarter. The Rams cut it to 17-10 on a 3-yard run by CJ Montes. On the first play of their next drive, Jamar Curtis broke off a 72-yard run to bring the Leopards down to the Rams 10-yard line. Curtis, who broke 1000 yards for the season, punched it in from 3 yards out to make it 24-10 Lafayette. Montes would cut the lead to 8 with less than 4 minutes left on a 15-yard pass to Julius Loughridge. However, the Leopards ran out the clock to seal the victory 24-16! Curtis stated it was a great feeling to be the 1st Leopard to rush for 1000 yards since 2014!
