Greetings sports fanatics! Today the Lafayette Leopards played host to the Himy Cross Crusaders! The Crusaders struck first in the 1st quarter when Jordan Fuller punched it in from the 1 yard line. The Leopards tied it in the 2nd when Ah Shaun Davis found Chris Carasia for a 15 yard score. After a Crusaders field goal, Devin Haskins blocked a Lafayette punt to increase HCs lead to 17-7 before half. Lafayette wasted no time in the 3rd quarter when Davis hit Elijah Stewart to cut the Crusaders lead down to 3. The Leopards took the lead in the 4th when Davis completed his 3rd TD pass to Carl Smith for 16 yards to make it 21-17. The Crusaders took the lead for good with 4 minutes left when Matt Sluka hit Justin Shorter 19 yards on 4th down. The EX point not only made the final 24-21, it also gave Derek Ng the all time record for points by a kicker! The Leopards had one final chance, but Matthew Kane sacked Davis on the Leopards 2 yard line to end the game! Both players stated after the game that the victory was a huge confidence booster for next weeks matchup with the Fordham Rams!
