Greetings sports fanatics! Today the Lafayette Leopards played host to the Marist Red Foxes in their home opener. In the 1st quarter, it was all Marist as the Red Foxes jumped out to a 20-11 lead. After Marist extended their lead to 14 halfway through the 2nd quarter, the Leopards went on a 13-0 run to cut the deficit to 1 at half 28-27. In the 3rd quarter, Marist dominated again with an 25-13 advantage in the period. The Leopards managed to rally in the 4th and with tied it with a Halee Smith layup with 2 seconds left! In OT, Zaria Shazer scored 5 of the Red Foxes's 17 points to lead Marist to a 84-76 victory! Shazer , who finished with a career high 29 points, stated it was an exciting victory after a disappointing performance against Penn.
