Greetings sports fanatics! Today Southside hosted the Mercer Mammoths in a doubleheader in the inaugural day of the ECCBL league! Down to their last out down one, the Mammoths rallied with 4 runs to claim game 1 by a final of 6-3. Mercer took the lead on a two out RBI single by Mike Chiaravallo of Bucknell. Chiaravallo was proud of how the Mammouths handled adversity during game 1.
The Southside team got their revenge in game two by hammering Mercer 16-2! Penn State Harrisburg's Danny Eden pitched brilliantly, earning the victory by allowing only 1 run through 5 innings. Eden and Head Coach Dylan Dando were proud of how the team responded after the disappointing loss in game 1.
