Greetings sports fanatics! Today I covered the ND Palmerton Colonial League Quarterfinals matchup. Notre Dame would start the scoring in the bottom of the 3rd when Jackson Schollenberger got hit with the bases loaded to drive in a run. The next batter would hit a sacrifice fly to make it 2-0 Crusaders. The score would remain the same until the bottom of the sixth. With two runners on and one out, Colin Quintano hit a line drive double to score both runs. Pitcher Ben Moyzan would drive in the final run with a deep SF to right for the final score of 5-0 in favor of the Crusaders. Moyzan nearly pitched a complete game, going 6.2 innings while allowing only three hits and striking out 10. Ben said after the game that the key was getting ahead early and holding the lead.
