NW Lehigh Palmeton

Greetings sports fanatics! In a championship doubleheader at Freedom High School, the 1st game pitted the Palmerton Blue Bombers and the Northwestern Lehigh Tigers. The Blue Bombers got off to a strong start, as they led 12-7 after the 1st period. The Bombers D continued to hold the Tigers offense in line and led 18-14 at half. In the 3rd, the Tigers started to solves Palmertons defensive schemes and cut the deficit down to 1 points 27-26. Still down by 1 with 45 seconds left in the gane, Brook Balliet managed to hit a reverse layup to give the Tigers a 31-30 lead. The Bombers had one last chance with 4.8 seconds left, but Nina Miller stole the ball to give the Tigers their 3rd consecutive tottle! Both Miller and Balliet credited the adjustments the team made in the 2nd half after the game.
