Palisades Wilson

Greetings sports fanatics! Today the Wilson Warriors played host to the Palisades Pirates. A sluggish first quarter for both teams ended without a score. The PIrates finally broke through with 5 mintues til half on a 4 yard run by John Haubert. After forcing a Wilson punt, Palisades faced a 3rd and 23 from the Warriors 24 yard line with 12 seconds left. Greg Borgeson would connect with Kyle Kirsch to make it 14-0 Pirates at half. On the opening kickoff, Pirates Olineman Daniel Haubert returned the kick from his own 10 yard line to the Warriors 35! The Pirates would take advantage a few plays later with Kirsch punching it in from 13 yards out. That sequence started a 27 point quarter for the Pirates, as they won 41-0! Both Dan Haubert and Kirsch stated it was a huge victory after a disappointing loss to Bangor the week before.
