Greetings sports fanatics! Today the ND Crusaders had their home opener against the SV Panthers. The Panthers started the scoring in the top of the 1st inning when Jacob Albert hit a 2 RBI double to make it 2-0. SV make it 3-0 in the top of the 3rd thanks to a Crusaders error. In the bottom of the 3rd, Braydon Heater would get the Crusaders on the board with an RBI single. Nick Buckman added an RBI single and a bases loaded walk helped the Crusaders draw even with the Panthers. Both teams scored in the 5th inning, the Panthers scoring one in the top and the Crusaders adding 2 to take the lead 5-4 in the bottom half. In the top of the 6th, Albert came up huge for the Panthers, hitting a 3 run bomb to left to put the Panthers up for go in the 7-5 victory! Albert stated after the game he was looking for something to hit in that crucial at bat.
