Vikings, Crusaders overcame slow starts to advance to semifinals

Greetings sports fanatics! Today Easton Middle School hosted a PIAA quaterfinal doubleheader. The Archbishop Wood Vikings struggled through the 1st half but came alive in the 2nd to pull away from the Scranton Knights 48-35 in game 1. The Vikings were led by Emily Knouse with 14 points. The Holy Cross Crusaders got off to a rough start in game 2. However, the Crusaders would shake off their start like the Vikings did and defeated the Dock Mennonite Pinoneers 62-52. The Crusaders were led by Mike Hughes who had 22 points. Both players expressed their excitement to be playing in the semifinals on Tuesday!
