Greetings sports fanatics! Today the Wilson Warriors hosted the Southern Lehigh Spartans for their homecoming game. The Spartans started the scoring off in the 1st quarter when Avery Kosar hit Jack Ingles for a 29 yard touchdown to make it 7-0. After forcing a Wilson 3 and out, Ingles scored on a 29 yard run to make it 14-0 Spartans. Just before the end of the 1st quarter, Cade Sawyer punched the ball in from 10 yards out to extend the Spartans lead by 21. Nick Vantresca scored his 1st varsity touchdown with 7 minutes left until halftime to increase the lead to 28. Southern Lehighs final points came when Andrew Olash returned an interception 44 yards to the house for a 35-0 lead. With 1 minute left in the game, the Warriors were able to prevent the shutout as Markhi Fields punched it in from the 1 yard line to make the final 35-7. Ingles stated that the team was prepared to play despite the less than ideal weather conditions.
