Good Evening Sports Fanatics! Yesterday I attended the Bangor-Moravian Academy game at Moravian last night. It was a good game with the Bangor Slaters prevailing victorious 56-47! The win not only gave Banger its 10th win of the season, it also clinched a spot in the District 11 5A playoffs. Bangor never trailed in the game and their lead was as much as 15 before the end of the game. Bangor started out the season 1-6, but through January, went 8-3. The win put Bangor over 500 for the first time this season. The loss dropped Moravian Academy to 4-13. After the game, I interviewed Bangor star junior Josh Giaquinto, who scored 30 points to set a career high. One of the biggest factors according to Josh was shutting down Moravians star Abhi Patel, who was coming off a 32 point game against Norte Dame GP. Josh stated that they were able to keep Abhi in front of them and make the other players win the game. Although Patel had 23 points, he couldn't lead the Lions to a comeback
