Greetings sports fanatics! Today the Freedom Patriots hosted the Dieruff Huskies. After a scoreless 1st, Dieruff plated the first run of the game on a RBI double by Julian Diaz. The Patriots answered with 3 in the bottom of the 2nd courtesy of a wild pitch, a SF by Kevin Kullman and RBI single by Ryan Hoffmann. In the top of the 4th, Luis Gonzalez hit an RBI single to cut Freedom's lead by one,3-2. The Huskies would add one run in both the 5th and 6th inning to take the lead 4-3 heading into the bottom of the 6th. After scoring a run on a fielders choice, the game was tied with runners on second and third with 2 outs. Down to his last strike, Kyle Kullman pulled the ball into right field to give the Patriots the lead for good! Kullman would later score an insurance run and the Patriots won 7-4!! The win secured a spot in the D11 playoffs for the Patriots. Kullman stated he was looking for a fastball to hit in his crucial at bat for the Patriots.
