Greetings sports fanatics! Yesterday NCC hosted the 49th Lehigh Valley High School basketball classic. The North All Stars defeated the South All Stars in game 1 by a final of 61-53. Ani Malone from Pocono Mountain West was named the MVP for the North while William Allen's Layla Sweatte claimed the honor for the South. Molly Driscoll from Centeal Catholic won the 3 point contest in between games by making 17 out of 20 shots in just a mintue! The East girls took game 2 with a 68-59 decision over the West team. Easton's Mallory Elias and Aubrey Pollard from Northern Lehigh were the MVPs from their respective teams. On the boys side, the North was victories over the South by a final of 125-119! Devin Artis from Pocono Mountain West was named the MVP for the North while Buster Fallah of Dieruff won the honor for the South. David Frieda of Central Catholic defeated Ameer Herran from Pburg to win the dunk contest. Herran would get a bit or revenge in the final game, as he won the MVP for the East side with 21 points and 12 rebounds during the East's 133-84 dismantling of the West team! Ethan Ringenberger from Whitehall was the MVP for the West with 15 points. Both Driscoll "American" and Herran "NCC" are looking forward to playing in college!
