Greetings sports fanatics! Tonight the Notre Dame Crusaders played host to the North Sckuykill Spartans! The Crusaders started the scoring off in the 1st quarter when Danny Darno found AJ Lozano for a 54 yard score to give the ND a 7-0 lead. After a field goal to cut the deficit, the Spartans took their only lead in the game when Trevor Minalda threw to Collin Stanakis for an 11 yard score. After a Minalda interception, the Crusaders took the lead for good when Darno found Josh Ludlow for a 68 yarder! ND would convert the 2 point try to make it 15-10 Crusaders at half! After the Crusaders forced another interception, Darno hit Lozano again for a 54 yard touchdown to extend NDs lead to 22-10. The Darno-Lozano connection struck again in the 4th quarter, this time for 5 yards, to make the lead 29-10! Jared Tinari tried to make the Spartans make a comeback with a 22 scoring run to cut the lead to 29-17. However, James Wiscarver took the ensuing kick off 94 yards to the house to give the Crusaders an insurance score 36-17! Jaxson Chowansky ended the scoring for either team to make the final 36-24. Darno stated after the game that the communication the center and him was the biggest part of the victory, which also happened to be the 100th of their head coach's career
