Greetings sports fanatics! Yesterday the NCC Spartans hosted the RCSJ Roadrunners in a battle of the undefeated. It looked like NCC would run away early on, as the jumped out to a 16-4 midway through the 1st quater. However, the Roadrunners cut the deficit to 3 at the end of the quarter 20-17. The game wouldn't be decided until the last mintue. Debra Beecher hit a breakaway layup to give the Roadrunners a 67-65 lead with 50 seconds left. After RC made 1-2 free throws to make it a 3 point game with 4 seconds left, the Spartans had a chance to tie the game. The Spartans couldn't
convert their opportunity and the Roadrunners escaped with a 68-65 victory! Beecher stated it was a great victory after the slow start!
