Greetings sports fanatics! Today I covered the Nazareth Northampton quarterfinals matchup. Northampton wasted no time, plating 2 runs in the top of the 1st. In the bottom half of the 1st, Nazareth scored 4 runs thanks to 3 Northampton errors. Northampton would tie the score at 4 in the 4th due to a wild pitch and an RBI single. Jake Dally would deliver the final run of the game with an RBI single in the bottom of the forth. Jacoby Sauer pitched 3 crucial innings in relief to earn the save and send the Blue Eagles to the semifinals with a 5-4 victory. Sauer stated after the game that trusting in his defense was key in helping him getting through the final 3 innings.
