Greetings sports fanatics! Today the ND Crusaders hosted the Southern Lehigh Spartans. The Spartans started the scoring in the top of the 1st when Jassen Brown hit an RBI double then scored on a wild pitch two batters later for a 2-0 SL lead. The Spartans extended the lead to 3 in the top of it 2nd courtesy of a Avery Kosar RBI single. In the top of the 3rd, Luke Lea hit a RBI groundout to make it 4-0 SL. The Crusaders got a run back in the bottom of the 3rd thanks to a RBI fielders choice by Brayden Heatter. The Crusaders closed the gap to 2 when Michael Wachter hit an RBI single with one out in the 6th. However, Brown would shut down the Crusaders offense in the last 1.2 innings of the game to secure a 4-2 Spartans victory! Brown stated after the game it was good to start a tough stretch with a victory.
